Well good for you that you fell for that crap with DH! I did at one time also!
She only cares for DH!

Thankfully, I left voluntarily to move to another state for my spouse's employment. DH was not my supervisor at that time, but had been in the past. I believe very firmly that she is a genuine person and a good manager. When I came to her with a personal issue, she was caring and understanding but also handled the matter professionally and tactfully. She is the only person who bothered to send around a card and congratulate me when I left, and she wasn't even my superior anymore. And I hope she's reading this and knows that she's appreciated for her good heart and her encouragement. I'll never forget the look on her face when a promotion was offered to me (back in the day); she was brimming with happiness for me because she knew how bad I wanted it. But I can appreciate that someone else may have had a different experience or gotten the wrong impression.

Is there any chance I could email you personally? I'm pretty sure I know who you are and I'd like to contact you. Are you a registered? If not, follow the instructions given in prior postings and PM me. I have a feeling that we had lunch together at the Main office the day we attended the InDesign class. Let me know if I'm right.

Don't think I had lunch with anyone. I must not be who you are thinking of.

Unfortunately, it's kill or be killed there now. But I still maintain that DH is/was a good person, particularly to her own people. She was good to me.

You are right it is kill or be killed! But I guess since you are a "formeremployee" she was not that good to you. People are not always what they seem!

I just registered, I'll PM you. We didn't have lunch together . . . I wonder if I'm right about who you are. I guess we'll find out!

I didn't say that they don't make more, just that they don't make twice as much. And for the most part, they do have more knowledge and ability. With two exceptions, I don't think any of the designers know Flash, and a couple of them barely know Photoshop. At least two creatives are way too good to be there and deserve to make a hell of a lot more than they do. But I also recognize that some of the designers are under-appreciated and underestimated. I'm pretty sure I just quoted one of them!

DH is awesome. She might not have all the answers, but she cares. I'd rather have an inspiring manager than a self-important prick who knows everything and cares about no one. But that's just the kind of person the NP loves!

I just realized you're not registered. You have to be registered for that function, otherwise the user control panel doesn't show. You post so often, I didn't notice you do so without your name registered.

Sign up. Don't worry, your identity is completely safe. Create a new e-mail account for it if you want.

In the top left corner of this box on the page, next to "User Control Panel," select "0 new messages." From there, compose a message and pick who to send it to. If you have any more questions about that, let me know.

Thanks

I wish I could figure out who you are BD. Have you been at TNP long? Sorry about you getting the axe. Hope you have work now.

I started there in December 2001. Transferred from Springfield Offset in VA. So yeah almost 8 years I was in the Press room. I was a Supervisor for 1.5 years there then stepped down because of the Retard Press room Manager we had then which was Canned back in the December round of layoffs. Hope this shines a light as to who I am. As far as have work now......I switched carers and working on getting my CDL.

Did you work mostly upstairs or downstairs? What do you look like? Because I was back there a lot.
