35 people were laid off on April 7 without any notice. They were laying off people with the least amount of seniority until this time. Apparently Ted knew they were going to outsource the severance. I don't know the total number of employees at the paper.

NEW YORK The Reno Gazette-Journal has laid off its longtime librarian. Jeanne Rasmussen was informed by the Gannett-owned paper that her position would be terminated July 9, according to the Reno News & Review. She had been the librarian at the Gazette-Journal for more than 40 years.

Does this mean she was told on July 9, but stayed on until now or did the story just now highlight it?

Is this cut included in the 15 layoffs? Does anyone know the total number of employees at the paper?
