The Wilmington (Del.) News Journal
The Wilmington (Del.) News Journal
From the Blog:
The bloodletting is underway at The News Journal in Wilmington, DE. The first fired was the the first lieutenant of the dayside copy desk chief. Guess he figured it was easier to throw him under the bus than risk his own neck.

metromix is gannett's entertainment newspaper, that only some sites were worthy of.

It's sickening to watch your co-workers escorted off the site while waiting for a hand on your own shoulder. It happened to me in December.

Any truth to the rumor that reporters/photographers will get the bad news tomorrow instead of today?

Re: Anything from Delaware?
The prodution/prepress department went from 6 people down to 3. The manager and plate handler both retired, while the USAT DTP tech was layed off.... Good luck to those left in getting both the Journal and USAT out with the staff that is left.

Re: Anything from Delaware?
In circulation - 2 District Managers/a zone manager/weekend supervisor. It would be nice if some of the fat cat vps got cut. Not the people who actually are getting the papers out to subscribers.
