Re: Wisconsin group
From the Blog:
Musical chairs in Wisconsin.
"Restructuring" means six out of the 10 newspapers now have ONE person in both the publisher and executive editor spot. The six with big changes so far are Fond du Lac, Marshfield, Sheboygan, Stevens Point, Wausau, Wisconsin Rapids.
The changes include Wausau editor Mark Baldwin heading to Stevens Point as GM/editor. (Mike Beck, publisher in Wausau, also has a new role -- but elsewhere, I think.)
Sheboygan publisher Richard Roesgen heads to Fond du Lac as GM/editor.
Fond du Lac's executive editor AND publisher (Avi Stern, Bill Hackney) have been laid off, if I'm not mistaken.

Baldwin was already GM/EE of Stevens Point. Nothing newsworthy or changed there, unless he's taking over as GM for all 4 of the Central sites. Please confirm?

FormerWISGroup is correct:

Mark Baldwin has been GM of Stevens Point since Dec. 2007.
Read his own Blog bio.

Re: Wisconsin group
Looks Like WI is waiting for some official announcement before breaking any news.
But from what I've read here and at Gannettblog, nothing has really changed, and what is posted above about the Central group is truly old news.

Re: Wisconsin group
Final count in Sheboygan: Four layoffs (three and a half positions) + publisher (he is moving to Fond du Lac).

Re: Wisconsin group
Still waiting for the "Official group wide Announcement" I guess.
This from some Kool-Aid drinker posting at gannettblog this afternoon.

Re: Wisconsin group
My gut is telling me that further restructuring and consolidations are in store for WI.

RE: Wisconsin
Wausau lost 5 in circ alone; 1 CSR, 1 Sales Mgr, 2 DSM's, and 1 Circ Mgr...all good people that will be missed.

So you are saying that the blood letting will continue tomorrow? Across WI or just in FDL?
