Neither. Unfortunately- That would have been "Priceless". No- those two will bury themselves in other ways...stay tuned.

My bet for "Mr. X" sender of the email is RW - possibly the dumbest person I have ever encountered. Anyone else care to speculate?

"Sender" has the initials correct. RG and RW aren't even smart enough to disagree with anything sent by their superiors let alone from corporate so they would never have sent the e-mail in question. The scarecrow and the cowardly lion. Pitiful. Talentless. Just plain dumb. SAVE US!!!!

RW - possibly the dumbest person I have ever encountered. [/quote]

You mean it's not just me who feels this way? And to think he tries to show me how smart he is every day. Open mouth, insert foot. Hey RW- wanna be smart? Don't talk.

CB? I don't know anyone in photo with those initials. Did you mean CY?

my first guess was RG also, as RW doesn't have the cajones to write anything disparaging about anybody (neither does CY). but apparently it was somebody in graphics.

I thought the entire graphics department was eliminated in August? Who is left, what do they do? There hasn't been any graphics in the paper since August.

A college student from Katonah who was in Haiti to aid a hunger drive is among the missing. This is a gripping story that has been all over the local TV stations and the new patch.com site but has sadly been unbelievably unreported by the Journal News. Hello folks. I know it's the weekend, but this is as big a story as you will have all year. You should be all over it no matter how depleted or non-qualified the remaining reporting/editing staff is.

I agree. Weekends, weekdays, all the same in a newsroom. The weekend was never a deterrent to breaking a news story. Maybe Fisch told staff to only work during the weekdays.

Don't worry. Right now, LN is trying to get your post deleted so nobody will ever know we missed the story.

The entire graphic department was eliminated. They gave THE SENDER a position with the online department. The position he pretends to do use to belong to JH, the most knowledgeable and talented web designer in the building, but JH had a run-in with LN a few years back, so of course he was eliminated in August.

Geez, this is better than a soap opera! The drama continues months later . . . stay tuned for more! I'm not making fun; rather I also feel sad at what has happened.

A lot of ass kissing goes a long way, the guy basically insulted the President and Chief Executive Officer of Gannett and he still has a job.

The only ones with access to it now are Mr.X and Craig himself. Unless Craig's official e-mail reader made a copy. Maybe Mr. X saved it as well? Mr. X, post it baby- how much worse could it get?

He would never. He was bitching, but he plays both sides of the fence to his advantage. Seems like he should be the last person complaining considering he wasn't let go and the rest of his department was.
