Hudler replacing Tennessean publisher

Gannettoid.com | news@gannettoid.com | Posted: Nov. 23, 2009 • Morning report

Carol Hudler, publisher of the Fort Myers (Fla.) News-Press, is replacing Ellen Leifeld in the same position at The Tennessean.

Leifeld is retiring, according to a release today from Gannett, which owns both newspapers.

Hudler will remain group president of Gannett's South Group, according to the release. The group, one of four in the company, includes 16 Gannett-owned media operations in five states. Currently located in Fort Myers, the group will now be located in Nashville.

Mark Mikolajczyk, president and publisher of Florida Today in Brevard, Fla., will replace Leifeld as group vice president.
